The death of my grandfather: his first meeting with his grandson and his final departure.
It takes me back to the village, to the soil where I grew up —to land soaked in wounds and the weight of a lost identity and a myths.
This book becomes a testimony of time, both within and around me.
Through raw, scanned film — contact sheets — it offers an unfiltered path: a dialogue with photography, composed cinematographically.
Unlike darkroom prints where words on them remain cryptic and meaning elusive, here, in The Land Cracking Beneath Us, and the Tree, text is handwritten individually in each copy and speaks directly.
The story is wrapped in red fabric and exposed to light — creating unique cyanotype prints that carry the weight of memory, loss, and transformation.
The narrative expands through the inclusion of lyrics and sound by the band STATICO, a clear living reaction on the regime they coming from, but also globaly how close to the end we all are.
The meaning / essence of collaboration is ones again unterline in the life-work as well meaning of music with a statement.
