Paradigma is a photographic dialogue between two artists, Bérangère Fromont and Maycec, realized during the spring 2020 confinement in Paris. A daily correspondence was born, creating an illusory link in a flickering world. Faced with this singular moment of life, the medium was no longer the priority, the exchange proved vital. The telephone, at the heart of our social connections, documented the iterative emptiness of these endless days. This unusual formal approach determined the aesthetics of this unique object. An ephemeral diary of a daily life where absurdity has become the new paradigm.
As a direct extension of this visual conversation, Sergej Vutuc takes the dialogue a step further with a sound sculpture in which the printed object itself becomes an instrument, thus providing the possibility to leave the exchange open. The sheets of newsprint are amplified. giving them a voice, communicating with the walls of the space, bouncing and linking with the audience who shape and reshape the past and the present.
